Jacob Mrozik, 79, died last night (Thursday) at his home in 1310 First Ave. SW in Little Falls. Funeral rites will be conducted Monday morning at 9 o’clock at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born in Poland and upon coming to the United States he settled in Winona and was married there to Francis Peplinski in May, 1872 (but see comment below obituary). Mr. and Mrs. Mrozik moved to Flensburg in 1881 and resided there until coming to Little Falls 17 years ago. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1932.
Surviving are the widow and 13 children. They are Mrs. Joseph Smuda, Foreston; Clemens, Little Falls; John, Waite Park; Helen and Mrs. Leo Glubka, Milwaukee, Wis.; Stephen, address unknown; Mrs. Clara Bleskan, Chicago; Mrs. George Stovern, Superior, Wis.; Frank, Duluth; Mrs. Peggy Kuriemba, Sumner, Wash.; Edward, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Margaret Lewis, Rochester, and Roman, at home. A daughter, Mrs. Marie Schwinghemer, died in Milwaukee last October. There are 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Additional comments by Arlin Super: A genealogical source lists their Winona, MN, marriage date as June 4, 1883, which is in agreement with 17 years of marriage listed in the 1900 census and the birth of their first child in May 1884. Baptismal records from Stezyca Parish, Kartuzy County, Pomorskie, Poland have the following 1860 entry: Jacob Anton born to Johann Mrozkowski and Magdalena Kuchta.
