Wayne Alvin Washington was born on February to the late James Hargrove and Elizabeth Barber. He departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest on October 30, 2017 at 3:15 P.M.

Wayne grew up in the community of Westphalia Estates in Upper Marlboro, Maryland as the youngest of eight children. He received his formal education through the Prince George's County public school system. After graduating from Fairmont Heights High School, he served in the United States Army Reserve.

Wayne accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. He was a very resourceful person and always knew "somebody" who could do something for you. Wayne loved playing cards with The Woodmore Pinochle Club, fishing with Brian or anyone else he could convince to go along with him, watching his favorite NFL Team — The Dallas Cowboys, spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren) and having fun with his friends. He looked forward to "The Springs Family Events." Wayne was extremely blessed with love.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, two-grandchildren, seven siblings, a nephew and niece that he grew up with, 3 aunts, and a host of relatives and friends.

Wayne was proceeded in death by two siblings: Brenda Scrivner and Elaine Washington.
