Mary Theresa “Mae” Tapley left this world on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was 90.

Born in Philadelphia, Mae resided in Trevose for almost 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Margaret Walsh and was the oldest of seven children.

She loved her family and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mae was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Harry J. Tapley.

She is survived by their three children; Maryellen Heim (James), Michael Tapley (Maryanne), and Amy Tapley; and five grandchildren, Danielle, Katie, James, Melissa and Meaghan. Mae also is survived by two siblings, Joan Mitchell and David Walsh; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mae was a long time devoted parishioner of Assumption BVM where she belonged to the Senior Citizen Group.

Mae was a loving and kind woman who adored her family, extended family and friends. She was generous with her time and talents and was always available to help. She enjoyed chatting on the phone, playing cards, watching sports and going out to eat with her sisters. No party was complete without Mae’s famous macaroni salad, fudge, and cakes. Relatives and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Assumption BVM Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, PA 19053. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
