Edith Ann "Edi" (Padley) Okulicz was born on May 20, 1933 in Jamaica, New York to John and Nellie Isabelle (Llewellyn) Padley. After graduating from Garden City High School in 1951 she attended Syracuse University where she studied art and was member of the Alpha Tau chapter of Alpha Delta Pi. On March 20, 1954, Edi married Richard Francis O'Brien at St. Anne's Church in Garden City, New York. The couple soon moved to Missouri where they had four daughters.

On June 21, 1981, Edi married William E. "Bill" Okulicz in Dennistown, Maine. For most of her life Edi was a housewife, but she was also a talented artist who worked for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Missouri. In her free time she enjoyed visiting with friends and family and taking care of her many cats.

Edi passed away on November 2, 2017 at her home at Armour Oaks Senior Living Community in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, second husband, and her brother John Thomas "Jack" Padley. Edith is survived by her daughters Darcy Brockhouse (and husband Michael); Derri O'Brien (and husband Greg Williams); Doireann O'Brien (and fiancé Michael Mize); Anlon O'Brien (and husband Chris Dennis); her grandchildren, Michelle, Michael- Lee, and Luke Brockhouse; Rowan and Linden O'Brien-Williams; Keenan O'Brien; and her great-grandchildren Max and Sterling Brockhouse. She is also survived by her first husband.

Edi and her wonderful sense of humor will be missed by her family and many friends.
