The Rev. Ben Benson, 77, of Conway died Friday (July 2, 1999) at the Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 14, 1921, at Princeton, Fla., a son of John and Ruby Benson, he was a retired minister.
Survivors are his wife, Edith Benson; two sons, the Rev. David E. Benson of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Benjamin Paul Benson Jr. of Conway; two daughters, Linda Montgomery of Caledonia, Mo., Shirley Reisdorph of Merced, Calif.; six brothers, the Rev. William Benson and Luke P. Benson, both of Princeton, Fla., the Rev. Thomas Ray Benson of Manchester, Ga., Norman P. Benson of Parthenon (Newton County), the Rev. Joseph Benson of Sebring, Fla., and John D. Benson of Liesburg, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Benson and Anna Hunley; and two brothers, the Rev. Andrew N. Benson and Samuel Philip Benson.
Funeral services are pending at Palms Memorial Funeral Home in Homestead, Fla.
