Kuhns.- Allen W., son of Abraham and Amanda (Nice) Kuhns, was born near Columbus, Kan., Nov. 18, 1883; died at the Liberty Nursing Home, Harrisonburg, Va., June 25, 1977; aged 93 y. On May 14, 1907, he was married to Anna Inez Shupe, who died on Apr. 2, 1963. Surviving are 6 daughters (Helen-Mrs. Clarence Freeman, Hazel-Mrs. John Hershberger, Eunice-Mrs. Wallace Shellenberger, Lois-Mrs. Woodrow Ramseyer, Inez-Mrs. Herbert Frye, and Miriam-Mrs. Bob Liechty), one son (James), 29 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers (Arthur and Edgar), and one sister (Eva). Funeral services were held at the Peacock-Frye-Almont Chapel, La Junta, Colo., in charge of H. James Martin; interment in the East Holbrook Cemetery.
