Ty Neal Griffiths 1986 ~ 2007
Our beloved son, brother and grandson Ty Neal Griffiths, at 20 years of age died Tuesday March 13, 2007 due to injuries received in a motorcycle accident in West Jordan, Utah. Ty was born December 4, 1986 as the youngest son of Diena Haven and Neal Clarke Griffiths and step son to Laura Gurr Griffiths. He had a happy best friend relationship with his older brother Cody Clarke Griffiths (and friend Janae Butterfield). His young twin sisters Olivia Ann and Alexis Laura Griffiths were the apple of his eye and he loved to tease them as he tended them. He was often assisted by his stepbrothers and sister: Jerris, Braydan and Morgen Koplin. Ty had enthusiasm for whatever he did. He enjoyed acting in school productions, riding his scooter, playing soccer, bowling, wake boarding, snow boarding, boating, fishing, hunting and outdoor sporting activities. He was an artist and loved poetry, writing and music. As a result of his enthusiasm he soon became skilled at whatever he tried to do when he was instructed just a bit. He graduated from Bingham High School in 2005 where he made many friends. Since graduating he has worked at McGrath's Fish House and Riverton Hardware. Ty was enrolled at Salt Lake Community College. He was a Priest in the LDS Church. Ty will be missed by his grandparents T. Wilford and Carol Haven of Bountiful, his uncles Terry (Joan) and Scott (Penni) and by his cousins Emily, Stephanie, Kate, Brian, Josh, Parker, Beverly and Derek. Grandma Beryl Griffiths of Sandy misses Ty's twinkle in his eye and the happy fun loving smile. His uncles Evan (Shannon), Ross (Cynthia) and Paul Griffiths were always wanting to help Ty and were there for him. His cousins are Dan, Bibiana, Daniella, Ben, Josh, Jospeh, Julia Grace, Ashley, Cam, Nick, Mackinzie, Annie, Adam Griffiths and Bennett Klingman.
He was preceded in death by Grandpa Kenneth A. Griffiths, Uncle Mark K. Griffiths and Aunt Sarah Christiansen Griffiths.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the River Ridge First Ward Chapel, 10200 S. 1300 W. South Jordan (North of the Jordan River Temple). Friends may call at the Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. Riverton, and on Tuesday one hour prior at the church. Interment in the Midvale Cemetery.
