THE MISSOURI GRANGER, Macon, Missouri, Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1875
DIED- January the 10th, 1875 at her residence in the north part of Chariton County, Mrs. Amy Pippin, aged 70 years. One of the first settlers in the neighborhood in which she had died, having lived there for over 30 years, she was respected and esteemed by all who knew her. She was a member of the Christian Order Church and lived a pure Christian life until her death.
She has ceased to walk the golden streets of paradise.
Children mourn, not for her as for those that have no hope, for it's your privilege to meet her in Heaven.

KEYTESVILLE HERALD, Keytesville, Missouri, Saturday, Jan. 23, 1875
Died at her residence in northern part of Chariton County on Jan. 10, 1875, Mrs. Amy Pippin, aged 70 years. She lived in this neighborhood over 30 years.

*** NOTE ***
- Many trees indicate her maiden name was Swearingin. No proof or marriage record has been found to prove that.

NEW DNA evidence proves her father is Stephen Roberts who is on the 1820 & 1830 census for Jackson County, TN.
DNA has proven that descendants match the families of Raines Roberts who married Martha Chaffin and Raines' sister, Nancy Roberts who married Baalam Chaffin. It is very probable that Amy Pippin is a sister to Raines Roberts and Nancy (Roberts) Chaffin. Amy named her first child Stephen Pippin.

The Stephen Roberts family of Jackson Co. TN is:
Raines Roberts m. Martha Chaffin
Zachariah Roberts m. Jennet Raines
Joseph Roberts m. Rachel Smith
Hezekiah Roberts m. Fanny Stafford
Nancy Roberts m. Baalam Chaffin
Amy Roberts Pippin
