Andrew Brown
Andrew Brown, 87, died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Hazelwood, 302 Pearl, after an illness of several months.
Mr. Brown had been a resident of Muscatine for 65 years, and had been employed at the R-M Mill. He was born March 4, 1875, at Brighton, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Morehead Brown and had formerly lived at Fairfield.
He was married to Lillian Barron, and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are one son, Jesse Brown of Muscatine; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Hazelwood and Mrs. Augustine Hernandez, both of Muscatine; five grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one daughter, two sisters, and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the George M. Wittich funeral home. Interment will be at Greenwood cemetery.
