Billie Hall Knox entered into eternal rest on November 6, 2017 after 95 blessed years. Billie was born to Homer and Linnie Hall of Lonoke County on October 10, 1922. She was raised and attended high school in the Cabot area where she played basketball. Billie met and fell in love with James Elliott Knox after WWII, and they were married in 1947. Billie worked for the Little Rock School District and retired from Franklin Elementary after many years as a devoted employee and office manager.

She was a risk taker in life and in the casino, and it always paid off, maybe not in financial gain, but in a life well lived. Billie was a lifelong member of Winfield United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Linnie and Homer Hall and her husband, James Elliot Knox. She is survived by her children, Jim Knox, wife, Jeanne Knox, of Little Rock and Rosemary Bruton, husband, Ron Bruton, of Benton; eight grandchildren, Weston Weeks (Amanda), Briggs Bruton (JJ), Jim Knox (Katherine), Danny Knox (Emily), Alexis Cauthen (Shane), Tinley Washington (Parker), Lane Tullos (Stephen), and Kevin Knox and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Little Rock Funeral Home on Thursday, November 9 at 2 p.m. with visitation at 1 p.m. Ray Williams will officiate. Burial will be at Little Rock National Cemetery at a private service on Friday.
