Bob grew up in Mt. Blanchard, Ohio, and graduated from Ohio Northern University. He was a Vice President and Partner in the Engineering/Architectural firm of SSOE, Inc. He died in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio of Parkinson’s Disease on January 8, 2013. He is survived by his four children and their spouses along with seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A reception to celebrate his life will be held Friday, January 11th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd) with the burial of his ashes, next to his wife in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay, Ohio.

Bob was born in Akron to Robert Bond, Sr. & Neva Rex Bond on January 26, 1930. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 51 years, Margaret. Bob grew up in Mt. Blanchard, Ohio, and graduated from Ohio Northern University. Bob was a Vice President and Partner in the Engineering /Architectural firm of SSOE, Inc. Bob loved his work as a mechanical engineer where he designed process machinery for a virtual who's who of Fortune 500 manufacturing companies. Bob's passion for engineering continued beyond retirement, consulting on projects for another 15 years. Bob was also a creative and talented wood worker. His many projects will be cherished family heirlooms for generations. Bob is survived by his four children, Marcia Ferguson and husband Mark of Houston, Texas, Teresa McCrory and husband Kevin, Steven Bond and wife Sheila, and Melodee Pollock and husband Larry of Toledo; seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Matthew, Alexandra, Zachary, Mark, Robert, and Abigail; and one great-grandchild, Elijah.
