Donald Claude Draper, 77, husband of 49 years to Nancy Anderson Draper, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017.. Born in Lafayette, Indiana, he was the son of the late Claude McCrea Draper and Alice Bernice Purdy. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Mike Lawson and sister, Ruth Heald. Mr. Draper retired from the US Navy, he had also worked for DuPont and Merial, formerly known as Rhone Merieux. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Watkinsville. Don and his wife Nancy served 2 missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Rome, Italy and Deseret Ranch in St. Cloud, Florida. Survivors in addition to his wife include three children: Cynthia (Hugh) Jacobs of Jupiter, FL, Edward (Belinda) Draper of Dumfries, VA, Daniel (Beth) Draper of Memphis, TN; siblings: Linda Lawson of Mishawaka, IN, Gary Hood of Phoenix, AZ, Nick Hood of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren: Brittany Blazevige, Ashley Jacobs (Deceased), Seth Draper, Hannah Draper, Joshua Jacobs, Samuel Draper, Jared Draper, Andy Draper and Henry Draper. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 3PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Watkinsville, GA with Bishop Dexter Joyner officiant. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Lord & Stephens West Chapel. Interment will be Monday, November 13, 2017 at 12:30PM at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton
