Born June 12, 1916 at Marvel (Bibb County) the fifth child of Joseph Johnson Kendrick (1885-1932) and Birdie Octavia Kendrick (1889-1984).
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Felix Vernon Holliman (1902-1984) and four siblings; Gaynell Kendrick Stovall (1908-2003), Gerald Roderick Kendrick (1909-2002), Annie Ree Kendrick Allred (1911-2011), and Anthony Wayne Kendrick (1914-1994).
She is survived by her son Joel Kendrick Holliman ( Kathy Mehen Holliman); grandson Eric Stotts (Kate) and great grandchildren Thomas and Katherine; two sisters, Gloria K. Bunn and Joanna K. Harvey; three nieces, Sylvia K. Miller, Kay Wayne Oswalt and Susan H. Nilipour (Hossein); nephew, Roderick Leland Kendrick (Rose Ann) and several grand nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Holliman, known familiarly as "Miss Millie" by close friends, graduated Jones Valley High School in Birmingham in May 1933. Later in life she attended Bevill Junior College in Fayette, Alabama and Mississippi State College for Women. Upon graduating high school in Birmingham she received secretarial training at Massey Business College.
She was later employed by Jewel Tea Company, National Life and Accident Insurance Company, Birmingham Iron and Steel and Bank for Savings and Loan.
She made her profession of faith in Jesus Christ as a young teen at Union Baptist Church in Lipscomb and was baptized in the baptistery there.
She married Felix Vernon Holliman on August 16th, 1947 in Jefferson County Alabama.
She later became a member of the United Methodist Church to join her husband there. For the last 60 plus years she was a faithful member of the Propst Memorial United Church in Millport serving in many capacities including as delegate to Annual Conference for several years.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
