Samuel Thomas Chenworth, age 86 of Ellijay, GA, formerly of Edgewood, MD, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Pruitt Health Care in Blue Ridge, GA.

Mr. Chenworth was born November 7, 1931, in Middle River, MD to the late Samuel Thomas Chenworth Sr. and the late Agnes Morlock Chenworth. He was of the Catholic faith, a US Army Korean War Veteran, he had retired from Crown Cork and Seal Company in Baltimore. After retirement, he went back to work with Baltimore Search Light Company and often said that was the most enjoyable work he had done.

He liked boating, fishing and water skiing he was very athletic and enjoyed spending time coaching baseball and softball. He was known for giving people a hard time, demanding things be done right. He spent a lot of time studying maps and plotting out his trips.

He was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Thomas Chenworth, III.

Survivors include daughters, Sylvia Chenworth Harris and Dawn Chenworth Frasier, son, Richard Thomas Chenworth, grandchildren, Amy Arena, James "J.J." Frasier, Jr., Moorea Frasier, and Jayme Frasier, great-grandson, Malachi Ballance, brother, Stu Chenworth, sister, Dorothy Baummer.

Services: Friday, November 10, 2017, at 4:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran funeral home chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating.
