MRS. LYDIA BECK IS CLAIMED BY DEATH

DEATH OCCURS AT HOME NEAR TOCSIN AND FUNERAL TO BE TUESDAY

Mrs. Lydia Jane Beck, 83, died at 8:45 p. m. Saturday at her home, two miles west of Tocsin. She had been an invalid for the past 12 years and had been bedfast for two weeks with arthritis.

Born Aug. 14, 1855 in Crawford county, Ohio, she was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Miller Kleinknight. On Jan. 6, 1878 she was married to Josiah L. Beck, who died in April 1925. They had lived near Tocsin many years.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Laura Shimer, of Bluffton; two sons, Charles Beck, of Peru, and Shannon Beck, who lived with his mother; a sister, Mrs. John Heckley, near Tocsin; 10 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. A daughter, Mrs. Maude Johnson, is deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Tocsin U. B. church, of which Mrs. Beck was a member, in charge of Rev. C. W. Moore. Burial will be in the Tocsin cemetery.
