Augusta W Gussie Meade
TWIN FALLS - Augusta "Gussie" W. Neimeier Meade, 93, of Twin Falls, died early Wednesday morning, Aug. 22, 2007, at the Twin Falls Care Center in Twin Falls.
Gussie was born Oct. 6, 1913, in Higginsville, Mo., the daughter of Christopher and Louise Bishoff Neimeier. She grew up and attended schools in Higginsville, graduating from Higginsville High School. Gussie married John Marshall Meade Sr. in 1929 in Higginsville, Mo. In 1937, they moved from Missouri to Burley, Idaho, where they lived for many years. They moved to Jerome, where they lived for several years until the death of John Marshall Sr., when Gussie moved to Twin Falls to be closer to family.
Gussie enjoyed crocheting and fishing, where she out fished most of the family. She was an accomplished seamstress, making wedding dresses for her granddaughters and friends. She absolutely loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandbabies, even though they were all grown up.
Gussie is survived by her two children, John Marshall (Donna) Meade Jr. of Kamiah, Idaho, and Marceline Fenstermaker of Meridian, Idaho; her grandchildren, Brent (Chris) Fenstermaker, Shonnie Gannon, Patricia (Jim) Askew, Craig (Tammy) Meade and Dale Meade; also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Jamie and Eric Allen, Reesa and Craig Goff, Marshall and Mandi Fenstermaker, Misty and Tracy Hansen, Randy Gee, Cory and Savannah Meade, and Michael Meade; as well as nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Marshall Meade Sr.; two brothers and five sisters.
A celebration of Gussie's life will be held as a graveside service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Sunset Memorial Park, with Pastor Dale Metzger officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, 2466 Addison Ave. E. in Twin Falls.
