Memorial service for Nancy Colleen Neuharth, 53, of Eureka and formerly of Moses Lake, WA, will be 1:30 pm, Friday, November 10, 2017 at Eureka Reformed Church. Rev. James Grossmann will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Eureka City Cemetery.

Nancy died Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Avera Eureka Health Care Center after a four-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.

Nancy Colleen Neuharth, daughter of Ariel and Shirley (Jung) Neuharth, was born August 31, 1964 at Eureka, SD. She grew up and attended school in Eureka, graduating with the Class of 1982. Following high school, she went to South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and graduated in 1988 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in chemical engineering.

After college, Nancy was employed with Parsons Corporation and worked in Pasadena, CA, Houston, TX and internationally in London, England. She later worked for Shell Oil in New Orleans and Puerto Rico. Her last job was with REC Silicon in Moses Lake, WA. Nancy enjoyed her work and liked having the opportunities to work internationally and travel all over the world. In 2016 she retired early and purchased an RV and started traveling throughout the country.

In her free time, she liked to play Bridge, Scrabble and enjoyed quilting. Nancy loved all her nieces and nephews and was heavily involved in their lives.

Grateful for having shared Nancy’s life are her mother, Shirley Neuharth of Eureka; one brother, Lee Neuharth of Eureka; two sisters, Kristi (Robert) Kolb of Westport, SD, and Paula (Mike) Burton of Omaha, NE; one brother-in-law Carl Hammrich of Elmore City, OK; seven nieces and nephews; six great-nephews and one great-great-nephew.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Sharon Hammrich.

Carlsen Funeral Home of Eureka has been entrusted with arrangements.
