On January 8, 1974. GWENDOLYN K. APPLING (nee Penning), wife of the late Edward F. Appling and beloved mother of Messrs. Edward J. and Charles Appling and brother of Mr. Edward J. Penning. Friends may call at the Mltchell-Wledefeld Home 6500 York road (at Overbrook) on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10 A.M. Interment In Woodlawn Cemetery. (In lieu of flowers, those who desire may direct their memorials to the Salvation Army.)
