BOYNTON, M.D., James L. James Lester Boynton, M. D., age 81, died on November 3, 2017, from complications following a fall.

Dr. Boynton practiced child, adolescent and adult psychiatry in Austin and Nacogdoches, Texas, for more than 50 years.

Dr. Boynton is survived by his wife of 51 years,

Corrie Ann Musick Boynton,

his sons,

Jed (Maryjo)

and Chris (Wendy),

and 5 grandchildren.

He is survived by his brother,

Norris (Kathryn)

and numerous

nieces

and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers,

Bob (and June),

Amos,

one niece

and one nephew.

Dr. Boynton graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas,

and later completed training in child,

adolescent and adult psychiatry at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry in Topeka, Kansas.

A memorial service will be held at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1500 North Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, Texas 78746, at 2 p. m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, with the Rev. Dr. Peter Casparian, the Rev. Brin Bon, the Rev. Nicholas Earl and the Rev.
