NORA ANN BOWERS
Resident of this city for the last 60 years. Mrs. Nora All Bowers, 77 of 639 First Street died at 2:05 p.m. Saturday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Draper, 765 east Franklin Street. She had been in failing health for several years and seriously ill the last six weeks.
Mrs. Bowers bas born July 27, 1886, in Wabash county to Daniel and Mary Sparling Hillegas. She married Ira O. Bowers in 1906 in Huntington County. He died May 29, 1921.
Mrs. Bowers was a member of the First Brethren Church.
Surviving are three daughters. Mrs. Dale Dorthy Ormsby, and Mrs. Gerald Elsie Koehl, both of Fort Wayne, and Mrs Donald Gwendolene Draper at whose home she died, an son Kenneth K. Bowers, Huntington: four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Louise Gardner, Huntington, and Mrs Elson Everett, South Bend, and two brothers, Ralph Hillegas, South bend, and Palmer Hillegas, Huntington. A son, Glen, three brothers, Ernest, James, sister, Mrs. Emma Sunday, are dead.
Friends may call in the Robins Funeral Home from 7 p.m. Sunday to noon Tuesday when the body will be taken to the First brethren Church where friends may view from 1p.m. to the hour of the services at 2 p.m. with the Rev. William Skeldon officiating. Burial will be in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

The name of Everett Hillegas as a deceased brother of Mrs. Nora Ann Bowers was unintentionally omitted from the death report of Mrs. Bowers in Sunday's Herald-Press.

Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. today for Mrs. Nora Ann Bowers at the First Brethren Church with Rev. William Skeldon officiating. Music was furnished by Rev. Skeldon singing and Mrs. Madalene Trainer at the organ.
Pallbearers were Roy Sunday, Palmer Hillegas Jr., Ernest D. Hillegas, James Hillegas. Max Gardner and Russel Sunday.
Burial was in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
