Bessie M. Price, 93, of Hahira died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on Sept. 14, 1911, in Dorton, Ky., and had lived in Hahira since 1982. She enjoyed working in her yard and crocheting. She was a member of the Hahira First Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Price, Sr.; son, Roy Lee Price; her parents, Lee & Bitha (McPeek) Belcher; several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Genevieve "Ginny" Crowe, Hahira; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Glen (Patty) Price, Jr., Lenoir, NC, & Oscar Doyle Price, Hahira; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Everett Belcher, Savannah; one sister, Beatrice Powers, Erwin, TN.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira, with the Rev. Arthur Knight officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
