Obituary
ARPIN-- Albert E. Becker 63, route 2, Arpin, died of complications at 9:30 p. m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield where he had been a patient for the past five weeks.
Services will be conducted at 11 a. m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield with the Rev. Peter J. Le ketas officiating. Burial will be made in the Gate of Heaven cemetery.
The body will repose at the Rembs Funeral Home from noon Tuesday until the time of services. There will be a Christian Mothers Society rosary at 3 p. m. Tuesday, and a general rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Becker was born Jan. 1, 1904, at Waterloo, Iowa, and received his education at Bancroft, Iowa. His marriage to Hilda Brey took place May 6, 1930, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield.
After their marriage, Mr. Becker built and operated the Richfield Tavern for 12 years, then was engaged in farming at route 5, Marshfield, until 1960.
For the past two years, they had resided at route 2, Arpin. Mr. Becker had served as treasurer and supervisor of the town of Richfield, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield, and the Holy Name Society.
In addition to his wife, survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Elaine) Heeg, Elkhart, Ind.; Mrs. Albert (Florence) Peloquin, West De Pere; Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) Guibord, Cudahy; two sons, Edwin Becker, Schofield; and Albert L. Becker Jr.; route 5, Marshfield; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Brandt, route 1, Pittsville; and Mrs. Mary Radmer, Milwaukee; a brother, Joseph Becker, route 1, Pittsville; and 19 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
