Margaret J. Rush-Very, 94, passed away Wednesday at her daughter’s home.
She was the former Margaret Merkley, a native of Jasper, Indiana. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for 64 years where she was a member of the choir for 5o plus years and the resurrection choir for many years. She Margaret was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella for over 60 years.
Preceded in death by: first husband of 40 years – Roy C. Rush; son – David Rush; daughter – Patty Hays; grandson – Darren Rush; brothers – Charles, Bob and Jim Merkley; sister – Louise Pfau and second husband of 20 years – Lawson Very.
Survivors: daughters – Margaret Schad, Geraldine Stewart and Helen Scott; sister – Mary Winkler; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation: 12 – 8 pm Friday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes. Funeral Mass: 10 am Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Expressions: Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
