Ronald C. Goodling age 75 of Ashville, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 4th, 2017 at Mt. Carmel West Hopital. He was born on Dec. 7th, 1941 in Carlisle, PA to the late Robert and Lillie (Ryder) Goodling.
He retired from American Aggregates in 2004, after 35 years of service. Ron served his country in the USAF from 1961-1965 and during his time of service he saw 14 different countries. He coached little league baseball and was the photographer for Teays Valley Little League Baseball Assoc.
Ron was very athletic in and out of school. He enoyed caving, golfing, bird watching, building model airlanes, playing cards, and spending time with his three sons and grandchidren.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dora M. (Shirkey) Goodling; sons, Pastor Ronald C. Jr. (Jolena) , Robert C. (Charlotte), and Richard C. (Alicia); grandchildren, Ronald III (Morgan), Brittany (Anthony) Timson, Stephanie Goodling, Tiffany Goodling, Ashley Goodling, Rhianna Goodling; step-grandchildren, Darrell James, Haley Newland, and Cody Gleason; 8 great grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren; numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Friends may call Wed. Nov. 8th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 1:00 p.m. in the Lockbourne Church of Christ in Christian Union 156 Mechanic St. Lockbourne, OH with Pastor Ron Goodling officiating. Interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery.
