REV. H. R. TRICKETT
---Rev. H.R. Trickett, for a number of years, pastor of the Christian Church of La Plata, died at Keokuk, Iowa Monday noon of last week.
---Rev. Trickett was a strong and eloquent talker and was considered one of the most learned men of the day. The following is taken from the Keokuk Constitution concerning his death.
---At 12:45 this noon at St. Joseph's Hospital occurred the death of Harry Robert Trickett. His death followed a years illness and was caused by kidney disorders.
---Rev. Trickett was in the ministry for forty years and labored in many parishes during that period of services.
---Educated in England he was born in Parish of Kent Deadford England. In 1852 he came to this country but returned to England where he completed his education. At King's College, London, he took his final courses and received his diploma from that famed institution. Returning to this country and being ordained as a minister of the Christian faith he held charges in many places in the states. His last charge was at Golden Point, Illinois, a place above Hamilton where he was in charge of the Christian Church there. As pastor here he led his little band and they came to know and love their leader and this was the place he called home.
---He is survived by one son, Robert, of this city, and two sisters, both in France, one of them being Miss Mildred Trickett and the other Mrs. Sidons.
