Benjamin Harvey Andrews was born 18 Jan, 1794 to parents Hanna Pearce Andrews and Benjamin Andrews (a patriot of the Revolutionary War). Benjamin Harvey Andrews was baptized in the First Congregational Church of Woodbury, CT on 16 Mar 1794. On 26 Aug 1810 he was admitted to the same church "on profession". He married Mary E. Bunce on in or before 1831. Their Daughter Mary Emma was born in Woodbury and baptized on 27 Mar 1831. Benjamin H. Andrews and his wife were "dism. and "rec." by letter to church in Waterbury on 8 Jun 1845. In the 1850 Waterbury census his occupation was listed as "farmer". In the 1860 Waterbury census his occupation was also listed as "farmer" and in the household were his wife Mary, daughter Mary Emma and her husband Charles T. Chatfield and their two children Charles A. and Emma C Chatfield. In 1870 he was still farming, evidently being quite successful with real estate valued at $7,000 and a personal estate of $1,900. In 1880, Benjamin Harvey Andrews and his wife Mary were living with their daughter Emma's family in Waterbury. Benjamin Harvey Andrews died on Jun 25, 1882 at age 88.
