Allen married Sarah Anne Wallace (1795 Newberry, SC - May 22, 1890 Laurens, South Carolina), daughter of Henry Wallace (1780–1820) and Tabitha Glaze (1785–1826).

Mrs. M.A. Wilson Died Friday afternoon

Mrs. W.A. Wilson died suddenly Friday afternoon at her home, 526 Rutherford Street.

Mrs. Wilson was the widow of Professor M.A. Wilson, who for a number of years was a professor in the Greenville Military Institute. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. M.E. Brockman, wife of Professor M.E. Brockman of the city graded schools, and Mrs. Florence Wilson, also of this city.

She was in her 66th year and a devoted member of the Central Baptist Church. Funeral announcements will be made later.
