JOSEPH STEFANIAK
(1863 - 1948)

Funeral services for Joseph Stefaniak, 85, retired farmer and life long resident of Manitowoc county, who died last Tuesday at Nordheim in the town of Newton were held at 8:30 am Friday at the Leschke Funeral Home at Manitowoc and at 9 o'clock at St. Casimir's Catholic church, Nordheim, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. A. Betley officiated.

Mr. Stefaniak was born in Newton and 58 years ago married Miss Johanna Siewert. They located on the homestead farm now operated by his sons. Mrs. Stefaniak died in 1941.

Survivors are three sons, John, Laddie and Stanley of Newton, and four daughters, Mrs. Henry Junk of Manitowoc, Mrs. Erwin Kollath of Milwaukee and Mrs. John Mrotek and Mrs. Anton Chizek of Newton. Pallbearers were Zeno Tomcheck, Harry Kania, Raymond Siewert, Max Pekarski, Jack Wadginski Sr., and Edward Mrotek.

Relatives and friends attended the services from Chicago, Milwaukee, Sheboygan, Two Rivers, Manitowoc and surrounding communities.
