James Padgett, aged fifty seven, died at his home in Ruddles Mills last Friday. He leaves a wife, three sons and one daughter.
Deceased was a Confederate soldier of the Fifth Kentucky Cavalry, and for the past 20 years had been badly palsied.
He was a good citizen, honored and respected by all who knew him.
