Geraldine (Gerry) L. Olson (Chapin), 71, of Cameron, WI died Feb. 28 at Mission Hospital in Mission, TX.
Gerry was born to Dorothy and Burdette Chapin on Feb. 17, 1936. She grew up in the River Falls, WI area and later moved to Milwaukee and graduated from Washington High School in 1954. She returned to the River Falls area and worked at 3M until she was married to Orvin Olson of Grandview, WI on Feb. 13, 1960. She lived in Rice Lake, WI for 35 years during Orvin's 30-year teaching career. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren, who she loved and adored very much.
She is survived by her husband, Orvin, and two sons, Brad (Susan) Olson of Stoughton, WI, and Mark (Tonja) Olson of Cameron, WI; three grandchildren, Paige, Matthew and Daniel; two sisters, Pearl Albertson of Star Prairie, WI, and Ruby Bestul of Mesa, Arizona; two brothers, Paul Chapin (Phyllis) of Baldwin, WI, and Robert Chapin of Barnes, WI; a special brother-in-law, Donald (Marlene) Olson of Trinity, Alabama; several nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
