She is survived by her loving husband, Leon Starrett; children, Rhonda McCall, Mike Starrett, Ronnie Starrett; grandchildren, Brittany Starrett, Shana Peliti, Shelbi McCall; a sister, Virginia Senter and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Feb. 10 at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Larry Skinner and Rev. Chris Wiggs officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery.

George was a heavy equipment operator for 34 years on many natural gas pipelines laid throughout the United States. In his high school football days, people called him Gee Whiz Zomant. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.
