Mrs. Mary A. Gardinier died 5 o’clock Monday afternoon of pleurisy at the home of her son George, No. 12 William Street, aged 67 years. She was born Greenfield, Saratoga County, and was the daughter of Asa Potter. Her husband, John S. Gardinier, died in 1874. The following children survive her: Mrs. Henry Van Voast and William H. Gardinier, of Fultonville, and George M. D., Marvin S., Abram R., Charles H., Edgar C., and Eugene L., of Amsterdam. Although not a professes church member, she was an excellent woman and a kind mother. On Friday evening she called her family to her bedside and told them that she was ready and willing to die and that they must not weep over her death because it was time for her to go. The funeral will take place from the Baptist church on Wednesday a one o’clock. Rev. C. B. Perkins will officiate, and the remains will be buried in the old cemetery at Fultonville.
