Services for Mrs. W.N. (Emmy) Underwood of 126 Hanford Pl. were held May 10 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home's chapel…. Mrs. Underwood, 60, died May 9 in Hinds General Hospital after an illness of several months.
A native of Lawrence County, she had lived in Jackson for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Robinson Street Baptist Church and was associated with the Mississippi State Rating Bureau for 30 years.
She is survived by her husband, Walker N. Underwood; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Lewis and Mrs. Joyce Moore; a brother, Frank B. Conerly, all of Jackson; three nieces and two nephews.
Pallbearers were Bob Summerlin, Carlton Anderson, Frank Allen, Ralph Laughlin, Larry Brunson and Phil Hinton. Burial was in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
