Luella Ruth (Eggers) Reinert, 90, of Lincoln, KS, died Monday, November 20, 2017, in Lincoln. She was born January 5, 1927, in rural Lincoln County Kansas, to Emmanuel C. and Martha W. (Becker) Eggers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin H. Reinert, and sister, Arlene Fischer.

Left to celebrate her life include: her daughters, Joan (Bill) Detmer, of Lincoln, Ruth (Gary) Sorensen, of Sylvan Grove, and Gaylene (Jerry) Sorell, of Beloit. Luella’s eight grandchildren were also very special to her: Angie (Geremy) Cloyd, Stacy (Garett) Cloyd, John (Dena) Sorensen, Sara (Mike) Rosebrook, Janna (Brandon) Weber, Jacqueline (Matt) Deneke, Katrina Sorell, Savannah (Wayne) Robeson, as well as thirteen great-grandchildren: Grace Cloyd, Gunner Cloyd, Kale Sorensen, Maren Sorensen, Clara Sorensen, Alison Rosebrook, Marissa Rosebrook, Austin Rosebrook, Dalton Deneke, Mason Deneke, Makenzie Deneke, Keaton Robeson, and Brooklynn Robeson.

Luella spent most of her summers in the garden and over the canning kettle so that family and friends could enjoy the bounties of God throughout the year. She will be remembered for her smile and love of cooking and baking as many family members and friends gathered around the table for a delicious meal or were the recipient of a special delivery of baked goods from Luella’s kitchen.

Visitation: 5-7:00 P.M. Thursday, November 23rd, at Hall Chapel in Lincoln. Family present 5-7:00 P.M.

Service: 10:30 A.M. Friday, November 24th, at St. John Lutheran Church, Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
