YOUTH DIES OF INJURIES AFTER JUMPING FROM TRAIN.
DIXON, IL., May 26 -- Roy Abbott, aged 17, who a week ago was injured when he jumped out of an empty box car of a south bound Illinois Central freight train at the North Galena avenue crossing, died at the Dixon public hospital this morning at 9 o'clock. Pneumonia is believed to have followed his injuries and caused his death.
The young man was released from the hospital late Saturday afternoon and was sent to the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Ed. Howard, at Eldena. This morning he was returned to Dixon hospital at an early hour and had been at the institution only a short time before death ended his suffering.

Manchester, May 29--Wayne Abbott was called to Dixon this morning by the death of his brother Roy Abbott.
The funeral will be on Friday.
