MARLOW - Charley Marvin Fleetwood, 83, of Marlow died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, in Duncan Regional Hospital.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Marlow with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating and James Croswell assisting. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Mr. Fleetwood was born June 20, 1916, in Marlow to Hiram Wesley and Sarah Lucinda Fowler Fleetwood. He married Myrle Ernestine Scott on Nov. 20, 1937, in Marlow.
He lived in the Marlow area all of his life, and had attended Bray School.
He was a self-employed dairy farmer and was a member of the Stephens County Livestock Growers Association, the Marlow Farmers Co-op, and the Associated Milk Producers. He was an honorary member of the Marlow FFA and was named past Marlow Farm Family of the Year.
He was a member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Marlow.
Survivors include his wife, Myrle, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Janiel and Jack McLain of Duncan; a son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Patti Fleetwood of Marlow; five grandchildren and their spouses, Mark McLain of Atlanta, Ga., Randy McLain and his wife, Deb, of Norman, Tony Fleetwood of Marlow, Kena Marlow and her husband, Shane, of Havelock, N.C., and Tara Littrell of Marlow; two great-grandsons, Christopher McLain of Duncan and Randy Lynn McLain of Norman; and a sister, Ollie Morgan of Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ira Fleetwood.
Bearers will be Pee Wee Riley, Son Horner, Glenn Brown, Mike Graham, Leo Heffington and Ted Turner.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Fifth Street Baptist Church.
