French Croix de guerre

Son of the late William and Goldie (Guftason) Babcock. During World War II he served with the U.S. Army and received the Silver Star and the French Croix de Guerre.

Mr. Bailey retired from the Army in 1964 and was then employed by the Bedford VA Hospital until he retired in 1975. He was a life member of the Billerica Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member and chaplain of the Retired Armed Forces Association, Branch No. 3, Chapter No. 2. He was a communicant of St Andrew's Church and held membership in the Knights of Columbus, Father Harold Wren Council.
