Lizzie was the daughter of William Berry and Amarintha Shoemake Walters. She married Merida Eugene "Gene" Fisher about 1895 in Franklinton, Washington Parish, LA. She is buried beside her husband.

OBITUARY: Palestine Herald Press, Monday, 11 Sep 1950:
Rites are Held for Mrs. Fisher
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Fisher, 76, of 515 E. Angelina, who died at 7:20 p.m. Saturday in the Palestine Nursing Home, were held 3 p.m. Monday at the Montalba Baptist Church with the Reverend T. M. Dean officiating. Interment was in the Holley Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Fisher was born in Louisiana on January 1, 1874.
Pallbearers were Hugh Richardson, Earl Kelly, Alton Back, Ira Kelly, Lawrence Coleman, Jennings Sutherlin, and Earl Pulley.
Survivors include five sons, Jack Fisher, Lewis Fisher and W. L. Fisher, all of Dallas, S. I. Fisher, and James B. Fisher, both of Palestine; one daughter, Mrs. John Williams of Palestine; three brothers, Warren Walters, Felder Walters and Andrew Walters, all of Louisiana; three sisters, Mrs. Della Folks and Mrs. Alma Folks, both of Kaufman, and Mrs. Emma Fisher of Louisiana; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
