Jack was born in Houston, TX to Jack Leak and Helen Marie Fisher Cook. He was a 1974 graduate of Palestine (TX) High School, and attended Christ for the Nations school in Dallas. He married Pamelia Emile "Pam" Bicknell 22 May 1976 in Fort Worth, TX. They were the parents of three children: Elicia Joy, James Mathew, and Andria Deanne. Jack was a truck driver.
