Engagement Of New Orleans Girl Announced Today By Parents
Mr. & Mrs. William Elmer Brogan of New Orleans announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Barbara Lillian, to Orlando Aldrich Easterling, Jr., son of Mr. & Mrs. Orlando Aldrich Easterling, Sr., of this city. The wedding will take place at eight o'clock in the evening, Friday, May 4, 1951 at Trinity Espiscoapl Church in New Orleans. Canon William S. Turner will officiate. Immediately following the ceremy a reception will be held at he Orleans Country Club.

Miss Brogan is a graduate of Louise S. McGehee's in New Orleans. She attended All Staints' Episcopal College at Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.

MRS. EASTERLING DIES; SERVICES SLATED TUESDAY
Mrs. Barbara Lillian Brogan Easterling, 44, of 2020 Island Drive, Monroe, Louisiana, died this morning at her residence after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Paul Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Monroe. Mrs. Easterling's body will be at the church at 1 pm Tuesday.

Mrs. Easterling, a native of New Orleans, had been a resident of Monroe since 1953. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Easterling is survived by her husband:
Orlando Aldrich "Jack" Easterling, Jr of Monroe
Two daughters:
Mrs. Cynthia Easterling Clark of St. Louis, Missouri
Miss Barbara Ashley Esterling of Monroe
One son:
Michael Hardee Easterling of Monroe
Her mother:
Mrs. Edna Sorelle Brogan of New Orleans
One sister:
Martha Brogan Braun of New Orleans
One brother:
William E. Brogan of Houston, Texas

The family requests any donations be made to River Oaks School in Monroe, Louisiana or St. Michael's Boy's School in Picayune, Mississippi.
