Mrs. Ada Maebell Barrentine, 87, of Magee died July 4 in Leflore County following a short illness. The Simpson County native was a member of 1st Methodist Church of Magee.
Funeral services were conducted at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Magee, on July 5 at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Billy Guest officiating. Burial was in Magee Cemetery and Mims Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Louise Lenaz, Sanatorium, Mrs. Elizabeth Bennett, Winona, and Mrs. Addie Hurst, Greenwood; eight grandchildren; five great-granchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers were Mike Hurst, Bill Hurst, Ralph Barrentine, Jr., Johnny Barrentine, John Storms and Johnny Marter.
