He is survived by his wife; his mother; two sons, Ernest Thomas Bice Jr. of San Antonio, and Johnny Marshall Bice of Palestine; two stepsons, Michael Clyde Dean and Mark Dean of Palestine; one stepdaughter, Madlyn Joyce Dean of Palestine; three brothers, Woodrow Bice of Tulia, Henry Bice of Edinburg and Clarence Bice of Palestine. His obituary appeared in the Palestine Herald-Press, Thursday, 22 January 1981.
