Survivors included his wife; three sons, Billy Randall Bowman and Bobbie Neal Bowman, both of Lufkin, and Larry Bowman of Katy; a daughter, Dicy Baty of Houston; his stepmother, Ardell Henson of Rusk; four sisters, Mildred Baggett of Tyler, Mona Nell Pearson of Rusk, Velma Cochran of Houston and Helen Flora of Hot Spring, SD; three brother, Randal Bowman and Jesse J. Bowman, both of Alto and J. H. Bowman of Rusk; and two grandsons. His obituary appeared in Palestine Herald Press, Friday, 2 August 1968.
