Funeral for Dr. Arthur A. Laidlaw, 3380 NE Fremont St., will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Caldwell’s Colonial Mortuary, with private interment at Rose City Cemetery. He died Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Laidlaw was born Dec. 31, 1883, in Harwich, Canada. He came to Portland in 1910, where he practiced dentistry until his retirement in 1961. He was graduated from Marquette University in 1908. He was a member of Scottish Rite, Shriners, Rose City Park Club, and a charter member of the Friendship Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bernice L. Bushnell, Portland; one brother, Glen, Baton Rouge, La.; one sister, Mrs. Harry Van Gilder, Wasco, Ore.; two grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
