Carl passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with Cancer. He was 73 years old. Carl was the son of Leroy Austin Cook and Mary Louisa Bennett. He was the eighth of eleven children. Carl married Marjean Fackrell on November 2, 1951 in the Salt Lske LDS Temple. He was a graduate of Jordan High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for 32 years as a printer at the Newspaper Agency Corporation. Carl was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings throughout his life. He served an LDS mission to the North Central States from 1947-1949. At the time of his death he was a High Priest in the Bountiful 14th Ward.

Carl enjoyed camping and backpacking and loved the out-of-doors. He was an avid square dancer and enjoyed BYU sports. He also completed the Deseret News Marathon twice in his later years. Above all, he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren, even when his health was failing.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, January 7, 1995 at 11:00 A.M. in the Bountiful 14th Ward Chapel, 1500 South 600 East.
A Viewing was held on Friday Evening at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street from 7-9 P.M. and at the Church from 9:45-10:45 A.M. prior to services.
Graveside Services followed at Lakeview Memorial Estates where he was buried.
