Obituary for Eduardo Chavez

Mass of Christian Burial for Eduardo Chavez, 13, of Grand Saline, is scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017, at St. Celestine Catholic Church with Father Victor Hernandez officiating.

Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Eduardo passed away November 29, 2017, in Dallas. He was born October 19, 2004, in Sulphur Springs to Alvino & Hermelinda Loredo Chavez. He lived in Grand Saline where he attended Grand Saline Middle School and St. Celestine Catholic Church. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and WWE wrestling. He also enjoyed fishing and was looking forward to being a member of the GS Mighty Indian Band. Eduardo is preceded in death by his grandparents, Margarita & Erasto Chavez.

Survivors include his parents, Alvino & Hermalinda Chavez of Grand Saline; brother, Leonel Chavez of Grand Saline; sister, Anna Chavez of Grand Saline; grandparents, Damiana & Marcos Loredo of Grand Saline; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Elias Trejo, Hector Trejo, Daniel Loredo, Eladio Loredo, Alfonso Loredo and Josh Chavez.

Rosary is scheduled for 5-8 p.m., Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the funeral home.
