English buisnessman. He was best-known as the founder of Chelsea Football Club, in March 1905. In 1896, along with his brother, Joseph, purchased Stamford Bridge Athletics Ground, and later the Market Garden with the intention of making it the envy of the country and accomadating a football club. He failed to persuade Fulham Football Club Chairman, Henry Norris to relocate his club to the ground. After being persuaded not to sell, he instead, founded his own team, Chelsea. His dream of making Stamford Bridge one of England's top stadiums was realised as the FA Cup was staged there between 1920 to 1922.
