Private Rites Set for Anne Lindsay
A funeral service will be held today at the residence at the family’s convenience for Mrs. Anne Greer Hubbard Lindsay of 600 Park Ave., widow of Alexander M. Lindsay, once associated with Sibley, Lindsay & Curr Co.
She died yesterday (June 15, 1956) at the age of 82 following a short illness.
Originally from Wheeling, W.Va., she had lived here since she married Mr. Lindsay, who died March 29, 1949.
Mrs. Lindsay belonged to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, the board of the Rochester-Monroe County Red Cross and other civic groups.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Percival D. Oviatt Jr; a son, John Lindsay of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren, and a sister Mrs. Alfred C. Croftan of Carmel, Calif.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
