He was stationed in Wichita Falls, Texas, with the air force for approximately 3 and a half years. He was back in Iowa Falls by mid 1953, and aside from some years in Florida, called Iowa Falls home for the rest of his life. He maintained homes in Florida and Iowa Falls simultaneously for a number of years, as he had 6 grandchildren who were raised in Alden and Iowa Falls. Arrangements were handled by Woodley Funeral Home.
