Gladys Kallaus Jones, 91, a lifelong Quad-Cities resident, died Sunday, March 8, 1998, in Edgewood, Wash.

Services are private. Private burial is in Davenport Memorial Park. Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Downers Grove, handled arrangements.

Gladys Robinson was born June 28, 1906, in St. Joseph, Mo.

She was active in Pilot Club International, a civic organization for business and professional women. She and her first husband, Lonnie Kallaus, owned/operated LaFonda Motel, Bettendorf, during the 1950s.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie Jr. and Susan Kallaus, Des Moines, Wash.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded by husbands, Lonnie Kallaus and James "Red" Jones, a daughter, JoAnne, Wagner, and brothers, James and Scott Robinson.
